Assembly Square

Sitting on the west bank of the Mystic River, Assembly Square is one of Somerville’s newest neighborhood. Also known as Assembly row, this vibrant community began its transformation in 2005. That year, Federal Realty got approval to turn barren fields into one of Greater Boston’s hottest neighborhoods.  Subsequently, Assembly is now home to numerous up-scale retail shops, restaurants, and apartments. This neighborhood is truly a live, work, and play area.  There are limited opportunities to purchase a property since only one current residential condo building is available. Alloy Condominiums is currently the neighborhood’s flagship condo building and opened in the Spring of 2018.  The building is comprised of 128 units which are situated on floors 6-13. Additionally, on floors 1-5, you will find JW Marriot’s Autograph Hotel, The Row at Assembly.  As a result, the hotel provides added amenities to the residential building allowing for an even easier living experience.

Should you be hungry, dine at one of the numerous restaurants found in Assembly Square. American, greek, bbq, southern, or seafood, you can  really fulfill all of your cravings. However, if it’s a sweet tooth you’re trying to serve, Jp Licks, Paul’s french bakery, or the North End’s iconic Mike’s pastry are all at your finger tips.

After dinner, feel free to catch a movie at the theater, play pool at lucky strike, grab a cocktail at Earl’s or River Bar, or even a sport’s game at Tony C’s.

If you enjoy shopping, retail stores like Ralph Lauren, Banana Republic, J-Crew, and others can tend to your clothing needs.

Assembly Square really provides one of the most unique living arrangements within Greater Boston. Whether you work in or outside Boston, multiple highways provide easy access just about everywhere. If you prefer the T, the brand new orange line stop can zip you right into Boston with ease.
